San Diego
San Diego is located on the southern end of California and shares a border with Tijuana, Mexico. The area is famous for its beautiful beaches and Mediterranean-like weather. The city is the second largest in the state and eight largest in the U.S. The city is home to industries like agriculture, science and homeland defense. Many military institutions are located at Navy Pier including the San Diego Aircraft Carrier Museum, which holds the USS Midway.
San Diego is also a cultural center, with Balboa Park at its center. The park is a cultural complex with more than 7 museums, music centers and a golf course. Among these is the Museum of Man, a beautiful structure presenting cultural and physical anthropology. The San Diego Museum of Art is also located here and holds artwork dating back to 5,000 B.C.
Balboa Park is also the locale for the San Diego Zoo, the largest zoo in the world. Lego Land is a popular family attraction, with life size lego structures and roller coasters.
