Biscayne Bay
Biscayne Bay is a lagoon that separates Miami from coastal Miami Beach. The bay covers 35 miles and is home to the Biscayne National Park. The park features seven houses of Biscayne Bay’s Stiltsville settlement. The wood homes were built on stilts in the shallow waters of the bay. The bay was also home to the oldest wood bridge in the world, the Collins Bridge, in 1913.
