The Louis Armstrong Park is a 32 acre park named after the great jazz musician Louis Armstrong. This is said to be the birthplace of jazz music, as it was the only city to allow slaves to gather in a public place. Today, the park contains the New Orleans Municipal Auditorium and the New Orleans Jazz National Historical Park.
