The Motown Historical Museum is located in the Hitsville U.S.A. building. The building began as a photographers' studio for Berry Gordy, the founder of Motown music. Here, Gordy recorded several radio hits and established the Motown sound. Gordy moved his studio to downtown Detroit 1968.
