The Ohio State University, founded in 1970, is the largest college campus in the U.S. The university is known for many accomplishments, including the 'Big Ear', the longest running radio telescope in the world and the 'Horseshoe' stadium, home of the Buckeye football team. The name horseshoe refers to the stadiums shape. Although the open end has been filled, the nickname remains.
