Philadelphia
Philadelphia is 'the City of Brotherly Love'. It is also known as the 'Cradle of Liberty' and the 'Birthplace of America'. The city was the first capital of the U.S. and gave way to the American Revolution and American democracy.
Philadelphia is home to multiple historical sites. The Independence National Historical Park is the center of all major landmarks. Independence Hall is the location where the Declaration of Independence was signed. The park is also home to the Liberty Bell.
Philadelphia is a popular cultural center. The Avenue of the Arts contains many restaurants, theatres and museums. Among them is the Philadelphia Museum of Art, which boasts the famous steps from the movie Rocky.
Philadelphia's tight architecture consists of many styles, but remains mostly colonial. Streets are lined with brick buildings and refurbished rowhouses. The city also boasts to have the largest city park system. The Fairmount Park is the largest public park in the world, consisting of 63 areas and more than 4,000 acres.
