Mt. Cristo Rey
Mt. Cristo Rey is located just across the Rio Grande in Sunland Park, New Mexico. Visitors are able to walk across the border from El Paso to view and/or hike the mountain. Atop the mountain stands a 33.5-foot tall statue of Christ carved by Urbici Soler at the request of Father Lourdes Costa. It is a major site for annual pilgrimages.
