First Landing State Park
The First Landing State Park is designated as being the first site of the English settlers before establishing Jamestown. The park began in 1933 and features a replica of the cross the settlers left to give thanks for a safe voyage. The park attracts over one million visitors a year and covers 2,888 acres of land for camping, hiking and fishing.
