My family’s travels in Europe had a tremendous influence on my vision as an artist – the gardens, the palaces, the paintings, the churches and the stained glass windows…. We moved a lot and through high school and college I was able to study with some wonderful teachers in traditional painting, drawing and photography. In my 20s, I was able start bringing some of that vision forward in classes, local shows and galleries in my small town in Missouri. Finishing college and finding a career path took me in a different direction for some time and now, having been in Denver for 13 years and having covertly been experimenting with photography and photoshop (shhh don’t tell anyone) I’d like to share that vision again in this exciting and new form. Commissions are welcome. In fact, commissions are my primary area of excitement, because I feel that I’ve been able to elevate mundane family slides to fine art through artful reinterpretation and now, I can do that for others with their old pictures and sldes. Using my current photography and my penchant for far ranging variations on a theme, I feel I can do public space artwork that will capture the spirit and mission of any client. Other services include promoting the work of other artists both digital and traditional in my gallery. In the gallery I also print and sell fine art greeting cards from their work and offer them for sale in the gallery along with a welcoming atmosphere for writers to sit and enjoy the art, write, embellish, make, stamp and mail a card. Color & Light Galleria is also available for hourly rentals at great rates for creatives, businesses, nonprofits and individuals. We hope to see you soon so we can ask you, "what's your art flavor?"
