The best Mexican I've ever tasted Posted by rkk on 06/05/2006 Los Rancheros is my favorite mexican restaurant. While I agree with the other opinion concerning the Friday night mob scene I disagree that the food is anything less than perfect! I grew up near "Los" (as we affectionately call it) and moved to Tucson, AZ about a year ago. I was assured that I would taste Mexican food here in Southern AZ like none I'd ever tasted before. And, after trying 5 or 6 of the most adored Mexican restaurants here in Tucson nothing comes close to Los. My favorite Los dish is the Nachos Supremos but it's not for everyone (super cheesy so the chips loose a lot of there crunch...at least in the carry out order of it). But, the quesidillas, rice, and many other menu items are also fantastic. I'd fly it across the country for dinner if I could!
