For over a century, Le Cordon Bleu has grown to become a leading authority on culinary techniques, training and development. In 1984, André J. Cointreau acquired Le Cordon Bleu, strengthened the curriculum, recruited the finest Chefs of France and relocated the Paris school. He acquired the London school and opened another school in Tokyo and culinary centers in Ottawa and Sydney.

Training at Atlantic Culinary Academy, Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Program in the United States combines demonstration classes followed by hands-on practical courses in professionally equipped, modern kitchens. The curriculum comprises one of the world's most intensive, practical and comprehensive training of the highest quality. Courses are taught at succeeding levels under the technical guidance and close supervision of skilled chefs. Students are encouraged to explore their own styles, creativity and cultural background.
Technique classes are supplemented with examinations of theory, guest demonstrations, table service training, wine courses and a variety of other related instructions. Students and staff agree: the educational experience at Le Cordon Bleu is rigorous, but highly rewarding.
