As the primary AIDS service organization in San Diego County that specifically targets the API community, APICAP has been serving the growing needs of those APIs infected/affected by HIV/AIDS. APICAP works with the API community and the larger San Diego community to help increase awareness in and influence their beliefs regarding HIV/AIDS. These objectives address the core of APICAP's mission and are accomplished through its service offerings that include outreach, para-professional counseling and support, health education, prevention and risk-reduction services Our Mission Securing justice for and protection of rights of HIV-Infected Asian/Pacific Islanders, their famlies and their friends, who are unable to procure such assistance elsewhere, and to promoting measures for their protection; Providing support to HIV-infected APIs, their family and friends; Advancing the knowledge about HIV among the API communities and the general public of San Diego county; Advancing the knowledge about API cultural values among the general public of San Diego county.
